Summer, if you want to choose your install week. We open books on 1 July and our October and early-November dates are usually gone by Labour Day. You can absolutely call in November. You will just be taking whatever is left, and in a bad-weather year that can mean a later install than you wanted.

By the house. After a free on-site measure you get a written quote for the full season, covering design, product, installation, mid-season service, takedown and storage. Two-storey homes with complex peaks take more product and more time than a single-storey roofline. We do not estimate from satellite photos, because they hide exactly the details that drive the cost.

By the length of roofline lit, with height, peaks and corners making a difference. Your quote shows the measured footage and the rate, so you can see exactly how the number was reached, alongside what the same house would cost to light seasonally.

For seasonal packages, we own and store the product and the price includes its use for the season. That means you store nothing, replace nothing when a strand fails, and never have a bin of tangled lights in the garage. Permanent architectural systems are the opposite: you own that outright, because it is installed on your house for good.

Takedown runs from early January into April, weather depending. We will not send a crew onto an iced roof to hit a date on a calendar, and we would ask you to be patient with us in a heavy year. If you need them down by a specific date for a house sale or an event, tell us when you book and we will plan for it.

Generally no, and we would rather explain why than just decline. Retail light strings are not built for a full Ontario winter on a roof, they are not cut to your rooflines, and when a section fails in late December we have no matching stock to repair it. Since our price includes mid-season service, hanging product we cannot stand behind does not work for either of us.

No. We use clips matched to your specific shingle, gutter or soffit profile, never staples, nails or adhesive. The more common damage risk is actually the reverse of what people expect. Clips left on year-round work loose in the freeze-thaw cycle and can lift shingle edges, which is part of why we take everything down properly every season.

Tell us and we come fix it, at no charge, as part of your seasonal package. We are based in Newmarket and the whole service area is a short drive, so for most of the season we are out within a day or two. This is the single biggest practical argument for a professional install over doing it yourself.

Yes. Gutter cleaning is a service on its own, priced by the size of the house, with a detached garage, heavy debris or blocked downspouts as the only extras. If we are hanging your lights this year, ask for both and we can usually do them in one visit.

We cover Newmarket, Aurora, Bradford West Gwillimbury, Mount Albert, Holland Landing, East Gwillimbury, Keswick, Sutton and the surrounding area. If you are just outside that and not sure, ask us. We would rather tell you honestly than have you wonder.

Yes, and it is a genuine specialty rather than something we tolerate. Lake Simcoe shoreline properties in Keswick and Sutton get earlier ice, stronger wind and different safety considerations near water. We plan those installs differently, use heavier-duty fasteners, and do summer dock and shoreline lighting for many of the same clients.
